AUGUST MONTHLY MEETING AUG 3, 7PM

Due to Covid-19, the August meeting will be held on the W1AW repeater Monday Aug 3 at 7pm on the 145.450 repeater.  Please note the following:

  • The new repeater does NOT have a courtesy tone, so PLEASE let the carrier drop after the previous speaker unkeys, before keying your mike
  • The new repeater WILL time out if you speak continuously for 3 minutes.  There will be no warning and no notice before or after.  The repeater simply drops carrier and waits for a timeout period before resetting.  There is no audio signal when it resumes. So PLEASE time yourself and stop talking before 3 minutes is up.
  • The new repeater does not have any of the features we had on the old repeater controller, so no option to have the ID in a synthesized voice, or to make net announcements. Please don't request these features, they are simply not available.  We are looking into changing out for a more capable repeater, but the current site does not have the room for additional equipment.
